Part of the Second Nature Collection, Instinctive gets its name from how it came together. Like in much of this collection, I kept brushstrokes very loose while creating this piece. The foreground trees in particular are a deviation from how I have been painting trees for the past few years. A much larger, rounder brush was used to build a very soft and bubbly look - maybe subconsciously to match the soft yellow of the sky. The colours in the foliage of this painting might be some of my favourite yet, I was able to mix the most beautiful blue-green tone to pair with my favourite flowers. Finally, the view of the Three Sisters in this piece is less head-on from downtown, and instead showcases the peaks as seen from the opposite side of the valley.

24 × 24 inch original framed acrylic painting by Kayla Eykelboom. The finish of this piece is gloss, and it is float-mounted in an oak frame with clear finish. The artwork comes signed, varnished for UV-protection, and wired (ready to hang). Certificate of Authenticity included.
